My Love Language
“Wishing I was knee deep in the water somewhere
Got the blue sky, breeze and it don’t seem fair.
Only worry in the world is the tide gonna reach my chair?
Sunrise there’s a fire in the sky.
Never been so happy,
Never felt so high.
And I think I might have found me my own kind of paradise.” – Zac Brown Band

If a Love Language was the beach, it would be my 1st by far!! The beach is something special to me; the sounds of the waves crashing into the shore, the smell of the salt water mixed with 100 different type of sunscreen and tanning oils, with a yummy mixed drink in hand, and hearing those enjoying the sites and activities give me life and renewal. Yes, you may think I would need total solitude but just being emerged into this scene recharges me and gives me life.
Being able to be at the beach with those I love is more amazing and now seeing how much our daughter loves the beach is so fun, I know she ‘got it from her momma.’ We took her to the beach when she was 6mo to California and she loved every minute of it. Sticking her toes in the sand for the first time, was no hesitation but love at first touch! We played at the beach for a few hours while she grabbed handfuls of sand and let it fall in-between her fingers. Watching all the seagulls fly around her was instant entertainment. So much for one lil mind to comprehend but she loved every minute of it.
Now being a mom and enjoying the beach with OUR family brings a new sense of joy and a new meaning of life for me. There isn’t a bad day on a vacation for me if it includes a beach! Rain or shine my heart is content.
