The Fear of AM I good enough
Six months ago, I got tagged in a Blogfest at the Idea World Fitness post on Instagram, about the 2017 conference in Las Vegas, I hurried and filled about the application and sent it in. When sending it in I had doubts because I had not even launched my blog yet and was launching a month after applying, but I decided to go ahead and sent it off and see.
Waited a few weeks and sure enough got a response that I had been ACCEPTED for the 2017 Blogfest Conference in Las Vegas!! Whooohooo I was SO pumped and excited, as time went by and my blog was launched and going and time started getting closer and closer to Blogfest, the ‘enemy’ sure had a grip on me, with trying to give me every reason in the books not to go.

Fear started to creep in and those doubts of mine started to come out; from not have been blogging long enough? Not very many blog posts. Are my posts even good enough? I won’t know anyone. I’m going alone. Too much money. Being away from my family for too long..…etc…Probably could write a whole blog with the reasons I tried to use against not going, then I came to the realization that;
YES I AM GOOD ENOUGH!
Listening to You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero, on the way flying to Vegas and she shared a great story about fear and being in the darkest place she had ever been in and it was a cave she crawled into and until she turned her flash light back on she had the most fear inside of her that she had ever experienced. She said,
“The choice aspect of FEAR, it is so simple, FEAR will always be there. Poised and ready to wreck havoc, but WE can CHOOSE whether we are going to engage with it or turn the lights on and drown it out and crawl past it.”
I love learning and meeting new people, so I’m not sure why I was making so many excuses and letting those fears creep in, but they are gone and my light will shine bright! Connecting with others, getting out of my comfort zone, and in the zone to learn as much as possible.
To embrace the theme of Blogfest and the hashtag being #sweatpink, I decided to put some light pink in my hair and got some fun pink lipstick! Might as well go big and have as much fun as I can, right?
As I flew out on Tuesday to Vegas, I couldn’t be more pumped and excited! I have chosen to turn my light on and crawl right past my fears! I have so many great seminars that I will be attending and meeting SO many great like minded women and men in the fitness industry.

So if you get faced with darkness and fear, just remember YOU have the CHOICE to turn the light on and move right past it!
