Swing Batta Batta Swing a Suite Day with the Rockies
What a beautiful day, Mother’s Day was, for a Rockies game against the Dodgers! In the 80s, seeing the snow capped mountains, surrounded by family, some friends and hearing the cheers and joys or the crowd, as the Rockies are having a great season so far. AND from a mom’s perspective, the best part being in a suite, mainly because it was like a cage for our daughter!! I went to a game last year and wasn’t able to watch much because you are chasing your toddler around so being in a suite was worth every penny we spent for it!
Our family loves sporting events, with husband playing college football and growing up playing many other sports and me growing up playing sports and going to Colorado State University sports, it is something we love doing as a family. We try and hit a major sporting event at least once a year if we can, being in the atmosphere is so much fun and makes for a good day and experience. The Rockies are doing great this year so far, the game had a few homes runs and some great pitching towards the end. To bring the Rockies out on top with a W!
Our daughter had fun at the game yelling and cheering on the teams, even though she would cheer for both teams, it was mainly who ever was up to bat. She would yell, ‘Swing batta batta swing,’ at the top of her lungs and cheer the guys on when they were running the bases. It was awesome being in the suite too because the marketing department for the Colorado Rockies brought the kids Carlos Gonzalez jerseys!
Last year when we went we sat out behind the outfield and that was a perfect place to sit and a cheaper way to go than the suite.
But since it was Mother’s Day the suite was perfect because our daughter was contained to that specific area and there was another kiddo there, so they were able to hang out and play too and not just be stuck to one seat. It is also nice to do something out of the ordinary and spoil yourself every once and a while! We also took stickers and color pencils to help break up the ‘scene’ and try to keep them entertained. And there was food and drinks in there too! We couldn’t of asked for a much better day! If you have a chance this summer head down to Denver and enjoy a Rockies game with family or friends, Rockies Tickets,
