Fueling My Mind and Body for the Day

A girl friend shared this recipe with me a few years ago and I make it about once a month since and try to keep the ingredients on-hand, it is Nekisia Davis’ delicious recipe that I have tweaked a little bit. It is good by itself or on yogurt. Our girl will eat this all day long if I let her.
It is great to have on hand and when you make it it will last a few weeks in an air tight container, THAT is if the family doesn’t eat it sooner. For us it doesn’t last very long.
When I get recipes I like changing it up to my liking and to fit the way we eat. Whether it is cutting down on the sugar or fat in the recipes to met our nutrition or macro goals. For this recipe I like to do 1/2 maple syrup and I use coconut oil and sugar in place of olive oil and brown sugar!
