Where it all began

Athletics have always been apart of my life, whether it was watching them or participating in them, or a pick-up game in the neighborhood, I stayed active. I grew up in Moby Arena or Hughes Stadium, watching CSU athletics, we bleed green and gold in our family. Then after trying lots of sports growing up I stuck with club volleyball and played throughout middle school and high school. When I wasn’t practicing volleyball I would be in the gym doing kickboxing classes. Who doesn’t love a good kickboxing session to get some stress and aggression out!
After deciding to become a Student Athletic Trainer in college, I stopped volleyball and focused on school and Athletic Training. In college working with Division I athletes, doing some practicums for my college courses with local high school weight lifting programs and competitive sports teams, and overall helping people learn and gain more understanding of their body’s movements it became rewarding to see my efforts translate into the success of others.
After transitioning to doing strictly yoga for a few years during college and to after for my fitness, I got my yoga teaching job. Then I was offered to co-lead bootcamps and I was hooked!! These high intensity early morning workouts got people motivated and yearning for a change in their lifestyle, which was goal accomplished! Seeing people CHOOSE to make the lifestyle change is what I love.
