Highlights of Our Summer
Summer always seems like a ‘busy’ time of year, but this summer for us, I believe was one of the best! My husband finally had Saturday’s off for the FIRST time since high school!! WHOA….is right! Since he played Division I football and worked all Saturdays after college, we have never had a weekend like most who work M-F and 8am-5pm. So this summer we did a lot of fun things and go to experience a lot because of our ‘freedom’ on the weekends, AND we made the time!

We did some car trips around Colorado and to Nebraska, exploring different parts of our state and visiting people! I traveled some for work learning more about fitness, blogging and seeing a friend in Las Vegas! We got to see and do some things that we haven’t been able to do in the past because of the schedule my hubby is working now. We spent hours outside playing in the water, pool or water balloons or riding our bikes around town to local restaurants and downtown.
**Which by the way, who bought the water balloons this summer that you attach to the hose and it fills them and they break off once they are full?!? Where were those when we were young? I remember spending hours filling up for just minutes of fun! But they are just great and had a lot of fun with them this summer with neighbors and friends!





We love being able to workout together too during the summer at the park, outside our house or together at a gym! This summer was awesome for that because I teach Saturday mornings at Om House so we loaded the fam up, our girl went to the childcare while hubby workout while I taught! Or we headed to the park and took our Brute Force Sandbags and got a great workout in as a family, our girl runs around playing or joins us and workouts too.
