A Year Under My Belt of Blogging
Today has been exactly a year since Live Fierce Wellness Blog has been up and writing!! WOW, where has this year gone? I feel like as I get older the years fly past faster and faster, and was part of the reason why I wanted to create my blog.
Live Fierce Wellness was born to empower and challenge women to live a life they love through fitness, family, travel, and food! By making and taking time to do the things you love in life and give you life!! The ‘fierce’ part is to stop living for other’s expectations. Stop working for those terrible bosses. Stop doing things you don’t love and just going through the motion of life! Instead, take a leap of faith and DO what you love; travel more, start a business, find what grounds you, create new food ideas, spend more time with your family- what ever makes YOU feel like you are living life to the fullest!!

My goal over the past year was to just get my blog up and going. My original goal was do do a blog post a week, THEN I got to blogging and realized my blogs felt forced and I wasn’t being as authentic as I wanted because I felt I had a ‘dead-line’ to make. WHICH, Hello…..I’m my own boss here and encourage girl’s to be authentic. I realized I needed to do that myself. I decided to just blog as often as I felt like something needed to be shared! And BOY, did that feel better and not as stressful!
When deciding to start a blog there are so many things you don’t think about until you get to writing, and see what all goes in the ‘back-end’ of the blog. Designing the layout of every blog, making sure everything is set up on the page correctly, The Search Engine Optimization (I know I had to google it) aka SEO, and picture quality, I’m sure I’m missing many more. But it is just something you don’t think about when first starting a blog!
Over the last year these were my top 4 blog posts!
I’m Back in Fort Collins for Yoga! This fall I started teaching back in my hometown and community that I taught in 3 years ago. I started teaching at Yoga Pod Fort Collins where I teach PodFIT, PodHOT, I’m the lead for PodFIT Boot Camp, and helping with PodFIT teacher training later this spring. This community has been so amazing and such a blessing to be apart of! Seeing students grow in their practice and strength has been so rewarding. I love seeing clients from high school up into their 60s joining me in their fitness journey! I’m SO excited to see what 2018 brings at Yoga Pod.
The Light of Blogfest– A blog written before an amazing experience that I had at Blogfest at the IDEA World Fitness Conference in Las Vegas this past July. You will have to read more, but it goes hand in hand with my current post on Instagram:
When we have doubts in our life and wonder if “I AM” good enough for this. We let fear and doubt creep into our life TOO much and need to be grounded and find the I AMs that are positive in our life, like; I AM good enough, I AM strong, I AM beautiful.

Finding a Fitness Shoe that Fits– For the past few years I have not been very pleased with fitness shoes. After Blogfest it was my goal to look at smaller companies and find a fitness shoe that I like! And I tried 3 different ones and found one that I love and will continue to buy! Read to find out what company it was.
Northern Colorado Food Deals– I mean who doesn’t love a good deal and EVEN better when it is a FOOD deal! Our family loves food and to be honest loves to eat out. I complied a list of food places around Northern Colorado that have the best deals or Kids Eat FREE! Go check ’em out and save this to look at when you need a night away from the kitchen!
I am SO Excited to keep blogging in 2018. I’m excited to see what new things are out there to share with y’all! I love finding good products, workouts, or anything that works well or brings community together! One thing I know I will be focusing more on this year is Instapot Recipes! The Instapot has changed my life and I can’t wait to share more of my amazing recipes that I find or create!
But I leave you with a CHALLENGE!
I challenge you to make 2018 a year for YOU! Whether that is taking more time for yourself, more workouts, more yoga, better food choices, new job, financial freedom, or what ever it may look like to find the BEST version of YOU!
